Lifeguard Training

As the weather gets colder, it’s fun to remember warm summer days! The Straker Foundation was happy to help Harrison Township get its pool ready for summer 2021. Fiscal officer Jacala Ryberg writes, “There has been such a wonderful response from the community on the projects you helped us complete.”

Helping pools to open and providing safe places for swimming---and for swimming lessons—were high priorities for the Foundation this year. We were really glad to learn that seven Harrison Township youth trained and were employed as lifeguards at the pool this summer!
