John Glenn High School students studying Marine Biology visited the Newport Aquarium.

Thirty John Glenn High School students studying Marine Biology in Doug Joy’s science class visited the Newport Aquarium recently. Mr. Scott Carpenter, John Glenn’s principal, played a pivotal role in ensuring the students had this experience.

At the Aquarium, the students saw animals they’d studied in various marine ecosystems, and they observed firsthand the animal phyla they learned about in the Marine Biology unit.

The J.W. & M.H. Straker Foundation is pleased to have helped make this field trip a reality.
